Camping Equipment Hire — FAQ

Everything you need to know before booking your camping kit.

How much does camping equipment hire cost in Victoria Falls?
Camping gear hire starts from USD $15/day for a ground tent, USD $30/day for a rooftop tent, and USD $100/day for a complete weekend camping package (tent + sleeping bags + cooking kit + cooler box + chairs). A complete 4x4 + camping package starts from USD $300/day.
Can I hire just camping equipment without a vehicle?
Yes. All camping equipment is available to hire without a vehicle. We can deliver the gear to your lodge or hotel in Victoria Falls. Individual items — sleeping bags, gas stoves, cooler boxes, chairs — can also be hired separately.
Is a 4x4 required for camping in Hwange National Park?
A 4x4 is strongly recommended for game drive tracks inside Hwange. The main A8 highway from Victoria Falls to the Hwange Main Camp gate is tarred and accessible in any vehicle. Inside the park, sandy tracks and remote campsites require a 4x4 — we recommend the Toyota Fortuner GD6 or Land Cruiser Prado for this route.
Do you deliver camping equipment to my lodge in Victoria Falls?
Yes. We deliver and collect camping equipment from lodges, hotels, and guesthouses in Victoria Falls. Message us on WhatsApp with your accommodation name, required dates, and what equipment you need — we will confirm delivery availability and timing.
What campsite do you recommend near Victoria Falls for a first-time camper?
For first-time campers, we recommend Zambezi National Park campsites (10 km from town, riverside camping, no 4x4 required) or Masuwe Bush Camp (5 km, private concession, luxury camping experience). For a full safari camping experience, Hwange Main Camp is only 192 km away and has excellent facilities.
